As I understand it, agile software comes from lean manufacturing, which comes the Toyota Production System (TPS).

TPS's most important pillar is Kaizen (continuous improvement), but many "agile" teams don't demonstrate accountability for continuous improvement.

Therefore, most "agile" teams are not agile, independent of any other "agile" practices that may be in place. QED
