Does the no veto thing really work for you guys? What if you hate your wife's partner, or vice versa? Isn't it a de facto veto?

I ask because having been through that, my experience is that the "anchor" or "primary" partner can get dumped in favor of a fling with a new partner if the metamors don't like each other.
