Exactly! I quit reading the news when I made a commitment to myself to stop complaining.

After being inspired by the book A Complaint Free World, I realized the news caused me to complain.

Back when the news was one of my hobbies, if I wanted to talk about my hobby, I’d end up complaining about things I feared or disliked “in the news.”

What a waste of time! I could have been pursuing my own passions.

Now my conversations focus on other people’s experiences and passions. When I do talk about myself or my hobbies it’s to express my own passion.

Cheers!
