Hey Cathy, nice to hear from you! I'm so glad I'm not the only writer with 100 drafts (for me it's more like 1200).

I do find that it can be an impediment to finishing articles. I seem to get the best results if I draft about 80% of an article and then come back to it later to finish.

On the other hand, I've never once felt like "I have nothing to write about" when I have 10 drafts that I desperately want to finish at the same time as I have 5 new ideas I'm jotting down.

Tim Denning publishes 66 articles a month, on top of his 9-5, so it's actually feasible to write that much. The trick is just finishing the drafts.

He uses a "write day" / "edit day" separation from what I've read. He also built up to that level of writing over 5 years.
