Hey Yuto! I don't know about you or your hypothetical parent of 2 kids with an angry wife, but I'm about 50-100% more productive at home than if you drag me to an office because I'm more awake, better rested, and more relaxed. Plus, with no interruptions and less BS, I'm able to complete significantly more deep work.

The research is extremely clear that open office plans are a killer for productivity, so especially because companies are too ignorant to provide high-skill, deep-work employees with offices with doors, most remote workers will be more productive.

Some won't be, but I've never once thought that any of my slacker colleagues or direct reports who should have been fired would have been actually performing better in the office. They just didn't have the accuracy or accountability to succeed.
