How I use gratitude to stay motivated

I love this quote: “You can’t be angry and grateful at the same time.” — Kenn Franklin

My favorite strategy to reach instant gratitude is to practice emotional forgiveness — replacing hurt feelings with empathy and a desire to give an altruistic gift of forgiveness.

That makes me feel grateful to myself because I admire myself for being the bigger person.

So when I later hold on to that forgiveness and remember my commitment to forgive, I can feel grateful easily.
