I think those are completely different questions.

"What do you want in a guy?" = "What values are you looking for in a guy?" = "What values should I pretend to have because I lack personality?"

"What are your values?" = "Who are you really, what's your real personality?"

I absolutely appreciate your piece and the importance of sharing values with each other when dating.

I think 2 weeks is a long time to wait when flirting, so better versions of the question are things like "What's something you couldn't live without?" or "What's something you left behind in your life 5 or 10 years ago? Do you miss it? Why?" Just my thoughts. I hope dating is going well for you!
