Thanks for your reply Jack Heimbigner. Personally I find traditional work culture rewards slackers, especially in healthcare. After all, if you get patients better, they stop being your patients, and your company loses money.
I’ve pretty much accepted I’ll never be the coworker everyone wants to work with — I’m loud, opinionated, super smart, and focused on results.
I’m hoping there’s a remote work renaissance along the lines of the Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE) model:
I read the book and it’s fantastic — but also depressing given how far every “real job” I’ve ever had is from that work situation.
