This was the main reason I didn't get curated when I joined Medium 5 years ago, and it's probably the main reason I don't get Boosted more than I do now.

In some articles, I skip it, and in others I try to focus on purely-related content, but I always forget (while I'm inside the Medium editor experience) that the Medium app puts 3 recommendations at the bottom of every article automatically, which is why writers really don't need more than 1-2 lines of promo (if that!!!) at the end of the article.
