Yeah I moved out of the US because of the cost of my own healthcare, and it's been a treasure and delight.
Other than weight management, strength training, balance training, fixing postural and gait defects, improving joint range of motion, improving muscular flexibility, and eating an anti-inflammatory diet (such as tart cherries from a can)... There isn't much one can do about osteoarthritis that has already set in.
On the other hand, joint replacements are extremely effective and last 30-40 years. I haven't tried to price them in Mexico, but my LASIK here was under $1,000 for both eyes vs. $9,000 in the US, and my impression that it's the same for all healthcare here -- about 9x less expensive.
